Fran Liberatore is an unschooling mother, writer, podcaster and advocate for child liberation. She’s been involved in education for quite a few years – first as an early years teacher, then as a home educator and more recently as a writer and Masters of Education student. She’s been thinking about consent since her children were babies and she was a Montessori guide, and she wondered how to embed consent into her daily life as a mother and educator. Her kids are now 8 and 11 and happily unschooled, and she is still thinking, writing and discussing consent-based education, most recently on her podcast, Consent-Based Everything. She’s also a very part-time editor for Tipping Points Magazine, and forever figuring out the many ways that life without school can bring her family joy, connection and community.
