The team is still chatting about which projects to prioritize in the coming months, and which ones we will revisit in early 2023. SDE Weekend Videos
We have started releasing the videos from the 2nd edition of The SDE Weekend on Tipping Points Magazine. There is so much rich content and insight from the many wonderful speakers and discussions. Thank you to all who shared your stories, insights, and experiences. More videos will be coming, and you can also subscribe to the Tipping Points Newsletter to be informed each time a new video comes out.
Job Posting for Wildwood ALC
Wildwood ALC (Agile Learning Community) is a nonprofit, mixed-age, self-directed education community for children ages 6 to teens in Boone, NC. Boone is a beautiful small mountain town, perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors. Wildwood operates 3 days/week from September-May. We are hiring for two new positions, beginning late August/September 2022:
(1) Facilitator: We are seeking individuals who are grounded in the perspective of trusting children, committed to fostering curiosity and individual empowerment, and able to connect with young people in a way that builds connection and inspires fun learning experiences. Find out more here.
(2) Director/Facilitator: We are searching for someone with a passion for self-directed education, a desire to take a leadership role in our ALC community, and ideally experience working with children and families in an SDE context. We are open to tailoring the specific roles/responsibilities of this position to the skills, experience, and interests of the person who fills it, so there is a great deal of flexibility and possibility of co-creation.
