Healing Hidden Expectations
Description
This is a free 2-hour online workshop focused on identifying and reflecting on internal barriers that may interfere with supporting learner autonomy and wellbeing. It is designed for facilitators, educators, and families who want to examine the expectations and beliefs—often unconscious or inherited—that influence their relationships with children and young people.
Participants will engage in personal and collective reflection around issues such as self-doubt, fear of failure, and the pressure to meet social or cultural standards. The session will introduce a set of four essential tools and skills relevant across diverse learning environments.
All registered participants will receive access to Killing Curiosity, a short film that explores the effects of conventional education on learner agency. The film is intended as a conversation starter ahead of the event.
The workshop will take place on June 14 at 15:00 GMT. A recording will be made available to those who cannot attend live.
