Description

We work for a world where every child is a creative maker and world changer, empowered to direct their own learning and see their vision become reality.

Our mission is to create an inclusive, affirming, and supportive educational environment for self-directed learners of all ages, abilities, and neurotypes.

Our Learning Philosophy
-Children (and all people) have innate desires and capacities for learning and will do so effectively and efficiently by choice when provided with opportunities, resources, and friends to collaborate with.
-Learning is most effective when it is relevant to children’s everyday lives.
-Youth will flourish when they are trusted, respected, and given agency over their learning conditions.
-Learning follows different trajectories & schedules for different kids & that is okay. We trust that all will learn what they need to become capable adults & life-long learners who will excel in their chosen paths.
-Adults can facilitate kids’ learning by offering opportunities, resources, and information to support their emergent interests. Direction or coercion from adults is neither necessary nor beneficial.
-People learn as much from their environment and culture as from the content they are taught.
