Description

Prism helps families and learning communities capture, organize, and communicate the value of self-directed, play-based, and emergent learning without reductive methods.

For families, Prism turns everyday moments into a living portfolio. Upload a photo, add a reflection, and Prism’s Learning Signals surface the subjects, skills, domains, and interests embedded in the experience. Over time, patterns emerge that make growth visible to parents, grandparents, evaluators, and the learners themselves.

Prism also generates personalized strewing suggestions; books, projects, activities, and resources informed by each learner’s documented interests and patterns. It’s a practical support for the facilitator’s craft of noticing what a child is drawn to and thoughtfully expanding the environment around them.

When you need a transcript, or portfolio export for compliance or college applications, Prism generates it from documentation you’ve already created.

For facilitators and learning communities, Prism provides a shared documentation space where multiple educators can observe and record learning across a group of learners, making the learning your program facilitates visible to parents.

Learner data belongs to the learner. Portfolios travel with the child across programs, families, and contexts.

Prism was built built by and for SDE practitioners; t’s designed around how this kind of learning actually works.
