Description
Radical Unschoolers of Oklahoma is an inclusive community of radical unschooling families in Oklahoma. We endeavor to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all radical unschooling families. The purpose of this group is to give radical unschooling families a way to connect with like-minded people.
SDE Optimizing Conditions
ASDE surveys all SDE communities/programs about how they provide, enhance,
or align with each of the Six Optimizing Conditions
for young people to succeed in SDE. Survey answers:
- Responsibility – (not answered)
- Youth Autonomy – Our weekly gatherings are centered around free play. The children are free to play and explore without intervention. Adults are near by and available as a resource.
- Access to Tools and Technology – (not answered)
- Adult Allies – As Radical Unschooling parents, we strive to give our children unconditional regard and to be a responsive resource for them when asked for.
- Free Age Mixing – We have no arbitrary age segregation in our group.
- Community – We promote the principles of unconditional respect, autonomy, equality, and mutuality in our community. Everyone has a voice.
