SDE Optimizing Conditions

ASDE surveys all SDE communities/programs about how they provide, enhance, or align with each of the Six Optimizing Conditions for young people to succeed in SDE.  Survey answers:
  1. Responsibility – democratic environment, use of ALC tools
  2. Youth Autonomy – unlimited play, self-directed, democratic
  3. Access to Tools and Technology – open access to tools of the culture, makerspace
  4. Adult Allies – access to several facilitators per day
  5. Free Age Mixing – free age mixing ages 3-12 years
  6. Community – use of ALC tools to build community
