DYNAMIC is a caring community for self-directed learning for young people of all ages and their grown-ups. Our goal is to create opportunities, throughout NW Indiana and Chicagoland, to get together to play, explore, learn, and socialize in community.

We are:

Self-directed: (a.k.a. unschooling) self-directed education is learner-driven, consent-based, and individualized to the needs and interests of each child.

Inclusive: We are an inclusive group that seeks to welcome diverse members, foster a climate of intentional belonging, and be an affirming space for all.

Relationship-first: In our interactions with young people we prioritize connection, cooperation, and mutual respect. We strive to hold developmentally-appropriate expectations of children and to collaboratively and gently guide them as we grow and learn, together.

Much of self-directed learning takes place as part of everyday life. We are committed to providing opportunities for children to cultivate their understanding and appreciation of:

Social Justice & Liberation
Nature & Our Environment
Free Play & Creativity
