Calling all families of RVA that practice unschooling and who are interested in unschooling.

If you’re a parent that opts out of the school system so that your child can learn naturally, exercise their free will & actually experience childhood, this is a good place for you.

If you’re a homeschooling parent that instinctively knows you need to deschool, you’re welcome here.

This group will focus on building a sense of community for parents and children. We can do that by showing up for one another here and in person. Meetups coming soon!

Definitions:
Unschooling – “allowing children as much freedom in the world to learn as their parents can comfortably bear” -John Holt, known as the ‘father’ of the unschooling movement.

Natural learning – “Children develop skills and learn according to their own natural rhythms, and we trust that each child is capable of learning on their own continuum and in their own time and their own unique way.
